TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WOODCUTTING IN EFFECT!

Due to extreme fire danger, the Fairbanks North Star Borough is suspending all firewood cutting on Borough-owned land effective immediately (July 1, 2022) and until further notice.

Thank you for doing your part to help prevent human-caused wild land fires by suspending your wood cutting activities.

WHAT WE DO

The Division of Natural Resources Development is a function of the Fairbanks North Star Borough Mayor's Office, responsible for the acquisition, sale and management of thousands of acres of real property owned by the Borough, including long term plans for how best to utilize our abundant natural resources to provide for the Borough's future needs.

All sales, acquisitions, leases, easements, use agreements and licenses are managed in accordance with FNSB Code Title 20 and are subject to the annually Assembly-approved fee schedule.
