Property Assessment notices are mailed every year by the end of January. Please visit the Assessing Department with any concerns regarding your valuation. Appeals to the Board of Equalization must be filed with the Borough Assessor no later than 30 days from the mailing date of your assessment notice. Meetings are held during the months of April and May.
The Assessing Department is located in the Juanita Helms Administration Center at 907 Terminal Street, Fairbanks. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. Questions can also be answered by phone at (907) 459-1428 or email the Assessing Department.

Property Appraisals
Real Estate Market
Other Fields Related to Their Functions as Members of the Board of Equalization
Regular board members and alternate board members shall serve for three years or until their successors are appointed and qualified. Terms shall be staggered so that approximately one-third of the terms expire each year.
