Lost and Found Pets

I lost my pet!  What do I do?

  • Check around your neighborhood and check in with your neighbors.  Maybe someone has spotted your pet.
  • Go to 24PetConnect to see the FNSB Animal Shelter's most up to date inventory. Maybe your pet is at the shelter or maybe someone is holding your pet safely in their home. 
  • Call the Animal Shelter 907-459-1451 to see if your pet was reported found.  You may be asked to send a photo to better identify the animal.
  • Fill out a Lost Pet Form at the Shelter.  
  • Please let us know when you have found your pet so that we can stop looking too

I found a pet!  What do I do?

  • Check around your neighborhood and check in with your neighbors.  Maybe someone is looking for their pet.
  • Call the Animal Shelter at 907-459-1451 to report a found pet.  You may be asked to bring the animal to the shelter for a photo and to check for a microchip.  If the animal has a microchip, we may be able to contact the owner and reunite the lost pet quickly.
  • Go to 24PetConnect to see the FNSB Animal Shelter's most up-to-date inventory. Maybe someone has filled out a lost pet form
  • Found pets that are not reunited with their owners are evaluated for the Adoption Program.
