Can I replace my hydronic heater with a more efficient hydronic heater with this program?

No.  There are currently no wood or coal burning hydronic heaters that meet the emissions requirements required by both our funding source and Borough Code for Change Outs.  Any new solid fuel burning appliances (SFBAs) (ex: wood, coal, pellet burning appliances) must also be on the State of Alaska's approved list (click here).  For further details please call the Borough Air Quality office at (907) 459-1005.
